The timing belt had broken on my Volkswagen Passat and didn't think I would be able to sell my car as the price I was quoted to repair it made it an uneconomical repair.  I couldn't afford to keep it on the road so I phoned buy my car and they offered me a fair price and came and collected it with a recovery truck.  Very fast service.
